Focus on your patient, not your notes
AI Notes helps Australian health professionals turn a consultation into draft notes, letters and patient resources. Review and edit each document before using it.
Our Mission
Australian clinicians spend hours each day on clinical documentation — time that could be spent with patients. AI Notes exists to give that time back.
We provide AI-assisted transcription and note generation that captures the clinical conversation and produces structured draft documentation. Every output is a draft requiring clinician review — because clinical judgement belongs to clinicians, not algorithms.
Who We Are
AI Notes is built by Black Health Intelligence Pty Ltd (ABN: 23 693 026 112), an Australian-owned health technology company focused on reducing administrative burden in clinical practice. The business name “telescribe” is registered with ASIC under the Business Names Registration Act 2011.
AI Notes is clinician-designed and built by a team that understands clinical workflows from the inside. We don't just build software — we test it in real clinical environments every day. That hands-on experience informs every feature, from the multiple note types and patient intake import to the TeleCheck Medicare intelligence and clinical tools built into every session.
Whether you are a Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Counsellor, Midwife, Doctor, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, or any other health professional, AI Notes generates notes that follow your profession's documentation conventions. With 35+ clinician roles and 50+ specialties, the two-axis knowledge pack system tailors note structure, terminology, and domain-specific fields automatically — set once in Settings, applied to every session.
The 15 clinical tools built into AI Notes exist because we got tired of switching tabs. PHQ-9 in one tab, BMI calculator in another, sleep screening somewhere else. Now they're all in the scribe sidebar — score during the consult, one click to add the result to the note. If you use a screening tool we haven't built yet, ask us. We'll add it at no extra cost.
TeleCheck removes the admin burden of checking telehealth eligibility at scale. Nine exemption pathways, each a toggle that generates a timestamped proforma. Postcode lookup against active disaster declarations. MBS item suggestions. All built directly into the scribe workflow so documentation happens as part of the consult, not after it.
Video consults are included in every subscription — browser-to-browser, no per-minute charges, AI scribe on the call. Patients join via a link, no account or software needed. The same scribe pipeline that works for in-person and telehealth works for video too.
AI Notes is purpose-built for Australian clinical practice — our note formats follow Australian SOAP conventions, our compliance features support Medicare and MBS requirements, and our core data is stored in Australia. AI Notes is only available to health professionals practising in Australia.

Specialty-Aware Notes, Automatically
AI Notes uses a two-axis system to tailor every note to your practice.
Axis 1 — Clinician Role: Sets the note structure, clinical terminology, and how you are referenced throughout the document. A Nurse Practitioner gets different language to a Surgeon.
Axis 2 — Specialties: Adds domain-specific data fields, assessment sections, and safety-netting phrases. You can combine multiple specialties.
A Physiotherapist selecting Musculoskeletal gets notes with ROM measurements, strength grading, and functional assessment. A Psychologist selecting CBT gets session structure, cognitive distortion tracking, and homework review fields.
Set once in Settings. Applied to every session.
ROLE PACK

Our Values
Privacy First
The application processes audio in memory rather than maintaining an audio archive. Clinical records are stored in Sydney. Provider processing, retention and training terms must also be checked; database location alone does not establish where every service processes data.
Clinician Empowerment
Every generated note is a draft. Clinicians check the source, correct errors and finalise the documentation before use.
Australian Standards
Privacy, consent and clinical review are part of the workflow. Regulatory obligations depend on the functions used and the practice's circumstances. A product description is not a certification of compliance.
How It Works
Record
Capture consultation audio directly in your browser. In-person, telehealth, or video. No software to install.
Transcribe
Audio is processed in segments. Transcript updates appear as each segment returns, so a delay between speech and text is expected.
Generate
AI generates a structured clinical note from multiple formats, applying your role and specialty knowledge packs automatically. Notes stream in real-time.
Review
You review, edit, and finalise the draft. TeleCheck checks your patient's postcode against active disaster zone declarations, suggests applicable MBS items, and surfaces alternative telehealth pathways — all within AI Notes.
